Cindy Huang – Port Moody
Cindy completed her BSc in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University in 2008. After her education, she began her career as a Kinesiologist working alongside occupational therapists and physiotherapists, specializing in active rehabilitation for various musculoskeletal disorders. With the influence of her roots and culture, Cindy decided to further her education with training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and attended the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver, all while continuing her work as a Kinesiologist.
In her practice, Cindy emphasizes the importance of the inter-connection of mind, body, and spirit and how this connections helps reach a state of true harmony and well-being. She stresses the importance of understanding the unlimited possibilities of the mind and body, while also being aware of the limitations and subtle cues from the body. Each Acupuncture treatment focuses not only on the manifestation of the disease, but also the underlying cause. Cindy believes the combination of acupuncture and other treatment modalities help her patients achieve their ultimate health and wellness goals.
While Cindy is trained in treating variety of disorders, her areas of interest are in pain management, muscular-skeletal disorders, women’s health, infertility, skin disorders, and mental health. She employs a variety of techniques and skills including electro-acupuncture, cupping, auricular, and scalp acupuncture.
